Yam Rice

Yam Rice

Ingredients A:
4 garlic (chopped)
4 shallot (chopped)
50g dried shrimps (washed and drained)

Ingredients B:
6 mushroom (soaked and cut into cubes)
250g pork (sliced)
300g skinned yam (cut into cubes)

Ingredients C:
2 cups rice (washed and drained)

Seasoning :
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp dark soya sauce

Ingredients D:
500g water

Garnishing:
Chopped spring onions
Crispy fried shallots

Method:

  1. Heat up 3 tbsp of oil over medium heat, sauté Ingredients A till fragrant.
  2. Add in mushroom, pork, yam and stir-fry till fragrant.
  3. Add in rice and seasoning. Mix well.
  4. Pour all mixture into a rice cooker, add in water and mix well. Cover and cook till rice become dry and cooked.
  5. Serve rice hot with chopped spring onions sprinkled and crispy fried shallots on top.
