Shanghai Saucy Braised Meat

Ingredients A:
1kg belly meat
1 tsp thick soy sauce

Ingredients B:
1 big clove garlic
1 tsp pepper corn
½ tsp soy bean paste
1 tsp sugar

Seasoning:
2 tbsp abalone sauce
50gm rock sugar
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp M&S powder
2 cups water (corn flour solution)

Method:

  1. Put meat in boiling water to boil for 10 minutes, removed and rub thick soy sauce on meat skin.
  2. Arrange in oven and grill at 250⁰C for 20 minutes. Remove and cut into big cubes.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in wok, stir fry ingredients B until fragrant, pour in seasoning to boil.
  4. Put meat into stew pot, pour in sauce, cover to cook for 2 hours, stir in solution and serve.
